In Asian cultures there is such a deep chasm between spirit and matter, as can be found in the West. Thus, the religious symbols are a living part of all aspects of Asian cultures and the elephant, a symbol of stability and strength of physical and psychological symbolism plays an important role in the eastern societies.
In Indian mythology it is spoken a lot about flying elephants, but most importantly Airavata elephant, a white species of elephant, which carried Indra, the King of Gods, which gives importance, a special force and significance. According to the legend, this white elephant would be born from the sea bubbles and because of its similar color to the clouds, the elephant is considered as the bringer of the rain.
In Buddhism, the elephant is the symbol of mental strength. When those who adhere to this belief and start the initiation process, the mind is considered wild, as compared to a grey elephant able to get out of control and destroy everything that comes along. As learning progresses, the man learns to tame the mind, then gets the white elephant symbol, a sign of power and control, the force can be used only when needed and to funnel it is a must.
Due to the strong symbolism of the elephant, the item was adopted and jewelry was created, so that this symbol can be worn by anyone who seeks mental and physical stability, which is inspiring.
